A denture relining happens after the dentures have been made and has been inserted. The dentures may be a perfect to your mouth at first but after
doing some relining, then they should be able to fit perfectly. They have to make sure that the denture and gum line conforms closely to each other. If
there is good suction (retention) between the dentures and gums doe not mean that the dentures will be stable.
When you wear your dentures for awhile, the gums under them, would be changing over time. With your gums
changing, then it make the denture looser as well. Make sure your have your dentures restored every two (2) years. TO make sure you and your dentist
can keep up with any type of changing your mouth might have done in that time frame. Seeing your dentist every two (2) years will make sure that your
the quality of your dentures is still good, meaning that they are chipping, crack, or disintegrating. And to prevent any type of production of the gum
tissue being flabby under them.
If your dentist can not make any type of relining, then make sure that a denture professional relines your dentures for you. For when you receive your dentures
back, they would be able to last for another at least two (2) years. But if you see anything different with your dentures make sure you go and see your
dentist as soon as you can to get the problem fixed. Even if the two (2) years have not gotten here yet. The sooner that you and see your dentist the
better you will be, for you will not be in any type of discomfort.
There are three (3) different types of relining; hard, soft and temporary.
